Blackpool School of Art, High Wycombe College of Furniture
Design and Leicester Polytechnic (Fine Art Painting).
Philip’s work has involved assemblage and collage,
always with a strong sense of construction. Was selected
for the Jerwood Drawing Prize in 2002 and Kettles Yard Open
in 2006.

Philip talks of the drawings being built
from the ground up, constructed as a building would be, layer
by layer. Internal spaces and volumes can surprise
by being unexpectedly small or conversely large in relation
to a building’s
exterior.
